Why join Pilates at the Village Hall?
Sarah is a Stott and classically trained Pilates instructor who qualified over 16 years ago. She’s lucky to have a lovely group of people that she’s have been teaching for some time now in Steyning. She also been teaching at Wickwoods for a number of years and says, in fact, their oldest Pilates instructor… in more ways than one!
Classes will start off fairly gently to get an idea of where everyone’s level is and the first class will be a ‘getting to know one another’ session, so you have a chance to see how Sarah works. She will ask you all to fill in a quick questionnaire so that she’s got a brief knowledge of your exercise history and any problems, such as injuries, operations, etc
How much does it cost?
The courses cost £55 per 5 week course. Payable before the start of each new course by cash or BACS. Booking is essential to avoid disapointment.
How do I book?

About Pilates with Sarah
Beginner / Improver class
This class is for those who have attended Pilates classes previously. It will be slow paced and focus will be on breathing and mobility, strength and alignment, while linking them together into a flowing series. A great class for beginners and improvers who are looking to increase exercise repertoire and improve posture and balance. The level of experience will vary in this class and exercise variations will be given to allow for different experience and abilities. Some of you may choose to stay at this level, as it is not always appropriate to join the Improvers / Intermediate level. We will use balls, bands and other small equipment.
Expect the first one to run a little over to give us a chance to chat.
Improver to Intermediate
For those of you that have been practising Pilates for some time and want to take it up a level. These classes will concentrate on emphasising spinal articulation and stabilisation as well as lengthening and strengthening the body. The aim is a more challenging workout based on the Pilates principles of core strengthening work, enhanced posture, good alignment and improved stability. This will be helped by adding small props such as balls, bands and prickly balls.
